How to Use

Use BioActive Cocopeat for all your gardening needs including: as a potting mix, a containerised veggie or herb garden, seedling trays, lawn underlay or soil conditioner. It is versatile, easy to use and long lasting.

Garden beds

  1. Apply one bag of BioActive Cocopeat to two square meter of garden bed.
  2. Spread out evenly with a spade or rake
  3. Incorporate the BioActive Cocopeat into the soil down to a depth of about 75-100mm
  4. Do not add any fertiliser for establishment of new plants. Only apply maintenance fertilizer as required.
  5. Water only when required.

Pots or containerised plants

You can use 100% BioActive Cocopeat in pots or containers. This will give the best results. You can mix in sand if you want, but it is not recommended.

BioActive Cocopeat is ideal for growing a herb or small vegetable garden. This can be done by filling a crate or container with BioActive Cocopeat to a minimum depth of 150mm. Plant your seedlings into the container and add water. Make sure the container has drainage holes

Turf underlay

BioActive Cocopeat is ideal for incorporating into your soil before laying a lawn. It will save you water and fertiliser. Follow the instructions below and you will have a great lawn even with water restrictions.

Incorporating BioActive Cocopeat as a lawn underlay and the magnificent result after laying your lawn. We recommend Village Green lawn (shown in picture) (www.villagegreenturf.com.au)

  1. Apply one bag of BioActive Cocopeat to four square meters of soil
  2. Spread out evenly with a spade or rake
  3. Incorporate the BioActive Cocopeat into the soil down to a depth of about 75-100 mm
  4. Even out the surface with a rake and compact the surface before laying your new lawn.
  5. Do not add any fertiliser for establishment. Only apply maintenance fertiliser as required.

NOTE BioActive Cocopeat is ideal for vegetables and non native plants. It is not suitable for natives.
